Bringing furniture outdoors is an easy way to add interest to your portraits! This was also shot at a small local park. No special location is needed for great portraits!
Fall is in the air so we took a trip out to Butler's Orchard to enjoy the weather and teach Olive where apples come from. After picking apples, we dug up our own potatoes and picked some fresh flowers. Olive crashed pretty hard in the car after such a long day.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Feuer's at Brookside Gardens for a family photography session last weekend. Checkout the eyes on this little guy!
Had the pleasure of meeting the Yoon family in Alexandria for a family session. Even small local parks make a great backdrop for portraits! Alex was a great model, and made my job incredibly easy.
Another great session at Lake Elkhorn from MacaroniKid Rockville's holiday contest winner, the Lucke family. We had some rain move in towards the end of the session, but it worked out because we got some neat shots of the storm clouds which created some great silhouettes.
A simple family get together is the perfect setting for portraits! In a casual setting like your backyard, your images will end up looking much more natural and relaxed. Parents tend to stress about if their children will be smiling in more traditional "posed" portraits. Hiring an on-location photographer to take candid images of your children enjoying themselves and playing is the perfect solution! The next time you get the family together think about hiring an on-location portrait photographer to document the event.
Khaya is moving back to Maryland from Colorado with her parents and her grandmother, (who still lives in Colorado) wanted to get some portraits done since she won't be seeing Khaya as much after the move. We had our session at Brookside Botanical Gardens which was are beautiful backdrop. Khaya was super spunky and had a ton of energy!
